Helmut Dillmann, Jahrgang 1958, arbeitet als Psychologischer Psychotherapeut und Lehrtherapeut in eigener Praxis in Wiesbaden und ist für verschiedene Ausbildungsinstitute, Kliniken und an einer Hochschule tätig. Die Begegnung mit den beiden Araberhengsten Ashiq und Ahabb weckte in ihm eine große Begeisterung für das arabische Pferd. Neben Ashiq und Ahabb befindet sich die arabische Stute Malena im Besitz der Familie. Arabische Pferde mit ihrem orientalischen Hintergrund wären ohne eine Kultur des Erzählens kaum vorstellbar. So kommt der Autor damit einer weiteren Leidenschaft nach und schreibt u. a. über seine Pferde.
